Located on Wendron Street, Rochedale South State School is a neighbourhood school, serving the educational needs of students from a range of family backgrounds. Situated on over 5 ha of landscaped grounds and away from many main roads, Rochedale South State School is a quiet, peaceful school with abundant wildlife and plenty of parking, on both Wendron Street and Lamorna Street. A two minute 'Stop Drop and Go' zone is situated at the front of the school for pick up and drop off of children both before and after school.
A bus service is provided by Logan City Bus Services. Telephone: (07) 3200 9606. Queries or complaints, other than those involving misbehaviour, should be directed to the company involved. They utilise the Translink GoCard system for payment of bus travel.

It would be appreciated if parents frequently remind their children of the dangers of misbehaving on the bus or whilst waiting at the bus stop. Teachers are rostered for supervision of children waiting for buses in the afternoon at the front of the school.
