The school buildings are low set, open area in design with five permanent teaching blocks, a multi-purpose area, three modular buildings (one for use of the Out of School Hours Care program), four dedicated Prep rooms, a library, a modern computer lab, two multimedia rooms, administration block, amenities and covered play and eating areas. Here at Rochedale South State School, we are fortunate that all classrooms are air-conditioned and have prime access to landscaped outdoor learning areas.
Rochedale South State School has a specialised music room, for classroom music lessons. Our instrumental music room, is host to the multi-instrumental music program where small group lessons are available for students from Years 3 to 6. Computer lab
Rochedale South State School both recognises and understands the integral need for students to learn how to access the digital world.
Therefore, our school proudly maintains a modern computer lab as well as a mini-lab and two specialised multimedia rooms in order to provide extensive digital education and activities.
Moreover, every classroom sustains an interactive whiteboard, at least five desktop or laptop computers and internet access to ensure maximum education and access for everyday education.
Performing Arts Centre
Our magnificent Performing Arts Centre (the PAC) is a wonderful facility that supports student participation in the Performing Arts programs and enables us to showcase our student's talents in fields such as drama, dance and music.
The Performing Arts centre has many features including:
- a green screen room
- practice rooms
- a raised sound and lighting room at the rear of the building
- stage lighting and sound systems
