The partnership between families and school is extremely important, as parents are their child's first teachers. Our school vision is “Creative Resilient Curious Learners Empowered to Excel “and we work collectively with you as parents or carers to support all students through this vision.
Underpinning this is the concept of student engagement. Learning must be fun, enjoyable and accessible for students. We believe in the educational development of the 'whole child'- behaviourally, emotionally and cognitively. Using the student engagement continuum- our students learn the actions and behaviours necessary to support their learning.
I am currently meeting staff, students and parents across the school and am looking forward to meeting as many members of this wonderful school community as possible. As principal, I plan to listen to staff, students and parents to learn about what is great about Rochedale South and then help maintain this. My role is to support the great work of teachers and other staff to continue helping all students to be the best learners they can be.
